My name is Burkhard, I am 49 years old and I work as a freelance journalist from Berlin, often as a subeditor for the German edition of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC TRAVELER, among other things.
This blog is currently changing: It started with pictures I made on vacations, others were from research trips on behalf of a German travel magazine called MERIAN. I’ve been travelling more often lately and I intend to post more photos, links and videos while I’m on the road, also adding content about travelling in general.
I called my blog ‘We All See The Same Moon’ because it would be great if we could see each other as fellows on this planet.
During my trips I often experience kindness from strangers and I want to see the things that connect us, not those that estrange us from each other.
The moon illustrates for me how tiny we are and how we are part of nature with every breath we take. I intend to preserve nature by following a vegetarian diet and by travelling by train or bus when I can.
This doesn’t always work out but I keep trying. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As we travel, we have an impact on the environment and the people we meet, often small, sometimes huge. Why not try to live with love and respect for nature and for each other?
It’s a small world after all. :)
